We opened CrossFit Hermitage to bring a higher level of functional fitness to our community. For us, fitness is about your ability to deal with the challenges of life...which is why we train using movements that pre-date the modern gym facility and philosophy. CrossFit training uses squatting, running, jumping, pulling, pushing, climbing, throwing, and more to “recondition” our bodies to function as they were designed to do.
From moving groceries and playing with your grandkids to chasing bad guys and entering a collapsed building...from weekend warriors to elite athletes, our goal at CrossFit Hermitage is to make you fit enough for any of life's infinite random possibilities, and have a great time doing so. Functional training is for everyone...no matter your age, current fitness level, or training background.
CrossFit is defined as "constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity'"...but what does that mean? It means never knowing what's coming next and yet enjoying every minute of it. At CrossFit Hermitage, each workout creates a different challenge from day to day. Some days we lift, some days we run, some days we do just bodyweight movements and some days we do it all in the same workout. Every day is different, which is why it works and it’s FUN (at least by our definition)!
Think of your experience at CrossFit Hermitage as personal training in a group environment. That's right, you'll receive personal attention every single day you walk through our doors. We program for you a warm-up, a workout, and a cool-down...which means you know exactly what is expected and you will be coached through every second of your workouts.
We are proud of the community and relationships our members are building. Our class atmosphere means you’re working right next to the other members so you're pushing each other just as hard as you're pushing yourself, and the coaching you will receive is supportive and encouraging.
